Baja Exterior Roll-Up Solar Shade
As the summer heat rolls around, homeowners look for new ways to cut costs and cool their homes without turning on the air conditioning unit. This can be quite a challenge especially if your home has a lot of windows or inadequate insulation. One viable option to consider is an outdoor solar shade. Solar patio shades are used to cool both indoor and outdoor spaces. These shades hang from a porch or balcony to block the sun’s rays behind the shade. When set up in front of a patio door or window, the shade’s cooling effects can penetrate into the home as well. The Baja Exterior Roll-Up Solar Shade is a large solar shade designed for just this purpose. It comes in sizes 6×6, 4×6 and 8×6.
The Baja shade works by using heavy duty mesh to block harmful UV rays. However, the mesh is design in such a way that allows users to see through it clearly. This allows you to keep an eye on the kids in the yard or watch for an expected visitor. The Baja patio shade is easily rolled up and down as needed by a clutch and roller mechanism. To operate, simply pull the cord up or down. A roller mechanism is located on each side of the shade, allowing for flexible operation.
This shade can be installed anywhere that an overhang resides. The shade should be placed in a strategic position for maximum benefit. Suggested areas for the outdoors include a patio or deck. In some cases a shade like this can serve the dual purpose of shading both indoor and outdoor sections of your home. For example, when placed on a patio overhang directly in front of your arcadia door, the shade will cover the patio area and room beyond the door. This modest investment can save you quite a bit of money on energy bills.
