Heating Your Swimming Pool
There is nothing better than swimming in your very own swimming pool on a hot summer day. However, there is something to be said about swimming in your pool on a hot summer day when the water is freezing cold; it stinks. Most homeowners like their swimming pool to be at least somewhat inviting to them. They like to have their pool nice and warm before they go diving in.
Sometimes when a pool is too cold it’s because the sun cannot get to it. Maybe your pool is blocked by trees or even your house. It could also be because your just having a bad summer weather wise. Whatever the case, it’s a reason to invest into a pool heater. The problem with most pool heaters is they are an expensive purchase not to mention your monthly gas or electric bill will go up.
In the swimming pool world we have a solution for this; it’s call a solar pool cover. Solar covers are the most eco-friendly and wallet friendly way to heat your swimming pool in the summer. Most people are under the misconception that a solar cover attracts sunlight and that is what heats your pool. Well, they are right but they are not ALL right. Yes a solar cover helps attract sun to your pool which will raise the temperature but the real fight comes at night.
Your pool collects all that sun and warmth during the day and when it gets cool at night, all that heat goes away. A solar cover, when kept on at night, stops the heat from escaping your swimming pool allowing it to build up and retain heat throughout the season. All it takes is a little sun during the day and you will have a warm pool all the time.
