Where to Buy Outdoor Rugs

These days gardens are becoming more like outdoor rooms and we want our outdoor living space to look as good as our interior. Outdoor rugs are the latest way to enhance your covered patio or deck and give it the look of a well designed room. If you have not come across rugs made specifically for use outdoors yet, you may be wondering where you can get these. Here are the places to look.

1. Garden Centers

Most garden centers stock merchandise such as garden furniture and parasols and these stores (at least the more forward thinking ones) will have a selection of outdoor patio rugs too. If they do not have any available on display, they may be able to order them for you from their usual suppliers.

2. Gardening Magazines

You may find a selection of rugs advertised at the back of gardening magazines alongside the patio furniture ads. This will probably involve sending away for a catalog or brochure. You may also find similar advertisements in interiors magazines if they have a section on gardens.

3. Carpet Stores

Surprisingly you may find outdoor rugs at carpet stores as many of the larger stores have a large rug selection and these rugs can be used both indoors and out.

4. Department Stores

If you have a large department store in your area which sells garden furniture, you are likely to find a few suitable rugs on display.

5. On the Web

The best place to find these rugs, as with many specialized products, is on the Internet. You will find a huge selection compared to the one or two available in local stores and will generally be able to find just what you are looking for among the large selection of colors, styles and sizes there. There are even web sites which sell nothing but outdoor rugs as well as larger rug sites which sell every type of rug including those for the garden.
